Mohammed Kudus Dedicates First-ever Free-kick Goal To Late Ghana Winger Christian Atsu

Black Stars forward Mohammed Kudus was overtaken with a lot of emotions on Sunday when he hit the target with his first-ever free-kick goal for Ajax Amsterdam in the match against Sparta Rotterdam.

In celebrating the goal, the player revealed an undershirt with the caption ‘RIP Atsu’ as he paid his respect to the late Black Stars winger who was confirmed dead on Saturday.

The forward played the match Week 22 game of the Eredivisie on the left side of a trident.

The match turned out to be a one-sided affair as Ajax’s quality was overwhelming for Sparta Rotterdam who tried to put up a resistance but eventually collapsed.

Dusan Tadic struck in the 6th minute of the first half to give Ajax the lead. They doubled their advantage before the break with a Kenneth Taylor strike.

In the 64th minute, Dusan Tadic registered his second goal of the game, while Mohammed Kudus scored from a direct free-kick with six minutes left in the game.
