Mohammed Kudus Dedicates Free-kick Goal Scored Against Sparta Rotterdam To Stonebwoy

Black Stars forward Mohammed Kudus has dedicated a free kick goal scored against Sparta Rotterdam to Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy who was celebrating his birthday.

Kudus’s free-kick goal against Sparta Rotterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie won him the Ajax Amsterdam February goal of the month award.

The mercurial midfielder’s free-kick was scored in his team’s 4-0 thrashing of Sparta Rotterdam on 19 February.

Mohammed Kudus also dedicated the goal to former Black Stars winger Christian Atsu who died in the tragic earthquake that hit Turkey in early February.

Christian Atsu’s final funeral rites will be held on 17 March at the forecourt of the State House, his one-week observation was held on 4 March.

Kudus has been in very good form for Ajax Amsterdam this season, scoring 17 goals in all competitions and assisting four goals.

It is expected that the young winger will get a call-up to the Black Stars for their upcoming African Cup of Nations qualifiers later this month.

Ghana will play in a two-legged match against Angola as they seek to secure early qualification to the continental tournament.
