Ajax Amsterdam forward Mohammed Kudus has been named in Sofascore’s KNVB Beker team of the week after his impressive performance for Ajax in the quarterfinal.
In what was an exciting match, Ajax took the lead after just 13 minutes when Jorge Sanchez opened the scoring with an assist from Dutch forward of Ghanaian descent Brian Brobbey.
In the 26th minute of the match, Mohammed Kudus produced some brilliant footwork to set up Steven Bergwijn with a chance to find the back of the Graafschap net.
Steven Bergwijn, a former Tottenham Hotspur forward took the chance presented to him by Kudus and buried the ball in the net to double his side’s lead before halftime.
Ajax Amsterdam cruised to a 3-0 win at the end of the KNVB quarter-final contest against Graafschap with a third goal from striker Brian Brobbey in the second half.
The win propels the Dutch champions to the semi-finals of the competition.
