Montell Jordan was born Montell Du’Sean Barnett Jordan on 3 December 1968 in Los Angeles, California.
He is an American pastor, singer, songwriter, and record producer.

He grew up in a Baptist family where his parents, Elijah and Deloris Jordan, were both church deacons.
Jordan attended the local church with his parents and siblings and played the piano in church.

He attended Junípero Serra High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in communications from Pepperdine University.
His first job after graduating from college was with William Television Time where his job involved making Informercials.

His first single ” This Is How We Do It” was the number in 1995.
