John Rizzo Naudi was a doctor and Nationalist Party politician who served as a member of parliament for five legislatures.
Born in Msida and educated at the Lyceum and UK, Rizzo Naudi was first elected to Parliament in 1976. He remained in the parliament for 20 years before stepping away from politics in November 1995.
He was a senior parliamentary secretary after when the PN returned to the government in 1987. Furthermore, he then served as a secretary for the parliamentary department in the ministry of social policy between 1992 and April 1995.
Rizzo Naudi played an important role in Malta’s development of the nursing industry. He played a key role in establishing the Institute of Healthcare, which was the first institution of higher education in Malta that offered nursing degrees.
He died at the age of 96.
