News reports coming have it that Indian statesman and businessman, Mulayam Singh Yadav died at a private medical facility in Gurugram while receiving treatment.
He was 82.
Singh Yadav was born on 22 November 1939 in Saifai, United Provinces, British India to Murti Devi and Sughar Singh Yadav.
He studied at Karm Kshetra Post Graduate College and B. R. College, Agra University.
Yadav first became Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1989 and went on to serve two more terms.
He had been elected 10 times as a Member of the Legislative Assembly.
He died on Thursday 10 October 2022 after a prolonged illness.
