Ghanaian triple jumper, Nadia Eke, is certainly enjoying her first appearance at the Olympic Games.
Despite failing to make it through the qualification round in her event, Nadia has been eager to make the most of her time in Tokyo.
In a recent post on Instagram, she did a recap of her time in Japan, reminiscing some of her most memorable moments.
Obviously, leading out Team Ghana in the opening ceremony got a mention, as did an amazing dance she did with the other athletes on the streets of Tokyo.
“Despite how tense it was in the Olympics village, we took our time to spread our love and joy with the rest of the world,” Nadia said in her narration.
She also talked about the BBC’s piece on her and trying out Japanese food.
“At the end of the day, the 2020 Olympics for me was truly about the experience. As athletes, we work so hard. We’re so powerful, we’re so dedicated, and all of this should be celebrated and we were reminded of that day in day out. So I encourage you to celebrate yourself today,” she added.
