The body of 18-year-old Naomi Irion who hadn’t been seen in almost three weeks has been found in a remote area of Nevada, authorities said on Wednesday.

According to Lyon and Churchill counties sheriffs, investigators responded to a tip by going to a remote area of Churchill County on Tuesday.

According to the offices, “led them to a possible gravesite” where “the body of an adult Caucasian female was recovered.”

The remains were taken by the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office to undergo an autopsy and identification. The offices confirmed Wednesday that the remains belonged to Irion.

Who Kidnapped Naomi Irion?

A 41-year-old Nevada man, Troy Driver, was officially charged with Irion’s kidnapping on Wednesday on a $750,000 bond bail for allegedly kidnapping Irion on March 12 in a Walmart parking garage while she waited for a shuttle from her job at the Panasonic facility.

Uncomfortably, he was captured on surveillance video pacing before getting in Irion’s 1992 Mercury Sable, he then drove off.

The car was later found in an industrial park. The driver has previously been sentenced to 15 years in jail for a 1997 California murder.

Investigators have confirmed that the driver was taken into custody at Lyon County Jail in Yerington, as a suspect in Irion’s kidnapping. He has not yet entered a plea.
