New Black Stars Technical Team Will Excel – Ex-goalkeeper Fatau Dauda
Former Ghana goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda is adamant that the newly assembled technical team for the national team will excel.
Chris Hughton has been appointed as the replacement for Otto Addo following an announcement by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) weeks ago.
The new Borussia Dortmund talents development coach Otto Addo left the role of Black Stars head coach after the national team exited the 2022 World Cup in Qatar at the group stage.
Chris Hughton worked under Otto Addo as the technical advisor and will be assisted by George Boateng and Didi Dramani who also worked as assistant coaches under Addo.
In Fatau Dauda’s view, the new technical team will deliver on its mandate.
He told Asempa FM that Chris Hughton and his assistants were with the Black Stars for the World Cup playoffs against Nigeria and led the team to the Mundial in Qatar.
He added that maintaining them was the best decision and believes they will maintain most of the players that played at the World Cup.
Chris Hughton will take charge of his first game against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers later this month.
