Nia Talita Long is an award-winning American actress who is known for her roles Boyz n the Hood and The Best Man.
The 51-year-old actress was born on 30 October 1970 in New York City to Doughtry “Doc” Long a high school teacher and Talita Gillman also a teacher and printmaker.
Her older half-sister is American comedian Sommore.
While studying at Westchester High School, she took lessons in acting, ballet, tap, jazz, gymnastics, and guitar.
Long’s first movie role was in The B.R.A.T. Patrol while her breakthrough in television came on the soap opera Guiding Light.
She is a motivational speaker at Sterlin Children’s Home in Barbados.

Massai graduated from Birmingham Community High School and went to Eastern Kentucky University where he plays college-level baseball.
Udoka was born on 7 November 2011 to former NBA star Ime Udoka.
