Nick Castellanos Parents: Jorge Castellanos, Michelle Castellanos

American right fielder Nicholas Alexander Castellanos was born on March 4, 1992. He currently plays in Major League Baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies (MLB). He has also featured for the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, and Detroit Tigers.

When the Detroit Tigers selected Castellanos out of high school in 2010, he quickly rose to the top of baseball’s prospect list. Castellanos was honored as the competition’s most valuable player in the  2012 All-Star Futures Game.

On September 1, 2013, he made his professional debut in the MLB for the Tigers.  Castellanos was traded to the Chicago Cubs in 2019. He inked a four-year deal with the Cincinnati Reds before the 2020 campaign.

Michelle Castellanos and Jorge Castellanos resided in South Florida where they raised their family. Michelle’s family is originally from Michigan. The pair have two sons, Ryan and Nick, who now play professional baseball.  Both were drafted by the Tigers.

In 2017 Jorge Castellanos was diagnosed with brain cancer.
