Nigeria Will Never Be Same Again – Charlyboy
Legendary Nigerian singer/songwriter, Charly Boy, known privately as Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, has said that he is optimistic that with the emergence of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi as a force in Nigeria’s February general elections, Nigerian politics will never be the same again.
Tweeting on his verified Twitter account, the controversial artist posited that no matter the outcome of the forthcoming presidential elections, the Obedient movement has reshaped the political landscape of Nigeria.
In his view, the people of Nigeria are now conscious that the old means of electing leaders does not do them any good but only a few criminals.
Charly Boy in his post observed that the past 9 months have been interesting as far as Nigeria’s political climate is concerned and that no matter what happened after 25th February, the people’s perception of leadership will be altered for good.
He added that there is a reawakening that the old ways only favor a few.
