Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, has given Nigerians the upper arm after he decided to be called an afrobeat musician hence given his gratitude to the green land singers.
Yesterday, Shatta Wale indicated that since Ghana doesn’t have the genre identity to trade within the international market, he has decided to flow with the Nigerians.
He emphasized that since labeling himself as an Afrobeat will help him secure the bag of money, he’s better of joining them than waiting on Ghana music folks who don’t have an identity to sell the country.
He made this known on his Snapchat after Spotify made him the face of an Afrobeat playlist on the streaming platform.
