Noah Lyles was born on 18 July 1997 in Gainesville, Florida. He is an American professional track and field sprinter. He specializes in the 100 and 200 meters dashes.
Lyles is the 2019 and 2022 world champion and a bronze medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He is America’s record holder in the 200 meters sprints.
He took to track and field at the age of 12 and has gone on to win a gold medal in the 200 meters during the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China, and gold medals in the 200 meters and the 4 × 100-meter relays at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha.
Lyles attended T. C. Williams High School in Virginia. He turned professional in July 2016 along with his younger brother Josephus.
They signed with Adidas after Noah had earlier committed to competing for the University of Florida’s Florida Gators.
