Top pastors based in Kumasi snubbed their colleague Bishop Daniel Obinim as he marked a one-week memorial service in honour of his late father.
It’s true some of the above-mentioned pastors are feuding with the head of International God’s Way Church but most of us thought this is the moment they will throw their differences aside and commiserate with him as the tradition in some cultures in Ghana dictates.
The only two major men of God who came there to sympathize with him are Bishop Isaac Appiah Ogya Nyame and Benjamin Agyemang (Igwee). The solemn event reportedly took place at Abuakwa Sepase in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Also present at the event is former Gospel musician, Florence Obinim, the cute wife of Bishop Daniel Obinim who entertained mourners with back-to-back performances.
Recall that the late father of Obinim died recently after a short illness.
In other news, the Kaneshie District Court has discharged the founder of International God’s Way Church (IGWC), Bishop Daniel Obinim and one other who were facing charges of forgery.
This was after the prosecution led by Detective Sergeant Richard Amoah had told the court presided by Ms Rosemond Agyiri that they wish to withdraw the charges levelled against the accused persons.
The court subsequently struck out the case as withdrawn and discharged Bishop Daniel Obinim and Kwabena Okyere who had been facing the charge in court for the past 11 months.
Counsel for Obinim, Mr Louis Yiadom Boakye who held brief for Mr Dela Blagogee told the court that the defense had from the beginning maintained that Bishop Obinim was innocent and if the prosecution saw it fit to withdraw the case, they were not opposed to it.
