Osher Gunsberg was raised in Brisbane, Australia after having moved there from London, England as a four months old baby.
He learned to read and write music as a young boy and worked as a roadie.
He attended St Joseph’s Gregory Terrace in Brisbane.
His first job in radio was as a Black Thunder promotions driver. He then worked for SAFM, in Adeliade, as an announcer on the afternoon shift.
Ginsberg’s fame rose when he began hosting the Australian Idol reality show alongside James Mathison for six seasons.

Birutė Mikužytė and Michael Günsberg are the mother and father of Osher Gunsberg respectively.
Birutė is a Lithuanian medical doctor while Michael is a Czech-Jewish medical doctor.
They had their son, Osher in London, England, and relocated to Australia when he was only four months old.
