Otto Addo has resigned as Ghana coach following the Black Stars’ early exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) in February earlier this year secured the services of the Germany-trained tactician on an interim basis.
He was brought in to lead Ghana to play the final world cup playoff match against Nigeria after head coach Milovan Rajevac had been sacked for a shambolic Black Stars showing at the 2021 AFCON.
After defying the odds to guide the Black Stars to secure qualification for the World Cup, the Ghana FA reached a new deal with Otto Addo and Borussia Dortmund for him to continue working for the Black Stars until the end of the World Cup.
Following Ghana’s exit from the world cup in Qatar today, Coach Otto Addo officially brings his work to an end.
According to sources, current Black Stars technical advisor Chris Hughton is leading the race to become the new permanent Ghana head coach.
