Pablo Carreño Busta was born on 12 July 1991 in Gijón, Spain.

He is a Spanish professional tennis player who on 11 September 2017 was ranked as high as world number 10 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). In the doubles, he was ranked world number 16 on 17 July 2017.

Busta has won singles titles and four doubles titles on the ATP Tour. He is an Olympic bronze medalist in men’s singles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He won the 2019 Davis Cup with Spain.

As a junior, he reached as high as No. 6 in the combined junior world rankings in February 2009.
