Pamela Denise Anderson is a Canadian-American actress, model, and activist. Her fame is based on her many performances in Playboy magazine as well as for her role in the television show Home Improvement, which was aired from (1991-1993 and 1997), Baywatch which was aired from 1992-1997 and V.I.P. which was aired from 1998-2002.
Anderson was born on July 1, 1967, in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada to parents Barry Anderson, a furnace repairman and Carol Anderson, a waitress. She was the great-granddaughter of Juho Hyytiainen, who was Finnish a native of Saarijarvi who left Finland’s Grand Duchy (which was component of the Russian Empire at the time) for Canada in the year 1908.
He changed his name to Anderson at the time he arrived in Canada as an immigrants. Anderson also is of Russian roots from her maternal side. Pamela was featured in the media immediately after her birth as she was a “Centennial Baby”, having been born on July 1, 1967, which was the centennial anniversary of Canada’s creation through the Constitution Act, 1867.
Anderson was a victim of sexual assault as a young girl. She revealed this fact publicly in 2014. Anderson claimed she was molested by a female babysitter between age 6 to 10. She was raped by a 25-year-old man when she was 12, and was gang-raped by her boyfriend as well as six of his friend at the age of 14.
Anderson attended Highland Secondary School in Comox, British Columbia. She played on the volleyball team at the high school level. Her graduation was in the year 1985. Anderson moved to Vancouver and became an instructor of fitness in 1988.
