Famous American actress and comedian, Pat Carroll, known for voicing Ursula in ‘The Little Mermard’ has passed away.
Carroll is most known for portraying Ariel’s half-octopus, half-human adversary in the 1989 Disney smash film.
She is also remembered for all the memorable songs she sang for the movie entirely on her own, and for returning to the character throughout the years.
Throughout the 20th century, Carroll appeared frequently on talk shows, sitcoms, games, and variety shows as well as many times as a guest on legendary series. Her outrageous humor and personality were favorites of both hosts and viewers.
Her career speaks for itself; she’s received awards for her work in theater, a Grammy, and an Emmy. She was a pioneer in the industry, as many have rightfully noted.
Carroll passed away on July 30, 2022, at the age of 95.

Carroll was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 5, 1927, to Maurice Clifton Carroll and Kathryn Angela.
Her family moved to Los Angeles when Pat was five years old and she soon began acting in local productions.
She graduated from Immaculate Heart High School and attended Catholic University of America after enlisting in the United States Army as a civilian actress technician.
