As earlier, reported by Kingaziz.com, a police officer was murdered during a daylight robbery at Korle-Bu, including a bullion van driver and a pregnant woman.
An eyewitness has revealed that the police officer was providing security for the van, while the pregnant woman was a bystander who witnessed the incident as the unknown gunmen attacked the bullion van in an attempt to rob and ended up killing three people at the spot.
After the news went viral, details and photos of the deceased Police Officer has surfaced on the internet.
According to the Greater Accra Regional Police PRO, DSP Efia Tenge, the name of the deceased is General Constable Emmanuel Osei with Police service number G/C 58449, and he was a Member of the National SWAT unit.
The Greater Accra Regional Police PRO explained that Osei was guarding a Nissan van with Registration number GT 8592 which belongs to a company called Montran.
As earlier reported that the diver of the van was also passed away, however, Efia Tenge has confirmed that the van driver identified as Wisdom survived the attack after the car was found parked at the centre of a road around the Adedenko Metal Market.
