The Black Stars of Ghana were held to a goalless draw by the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire in an international friendly at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
Coach Akonnor was hoping to bounce back from last Tuesday’s defeat against Morocco in Rabat.
The Ghana coach named a strong starting line up, with Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey retaining to the squad after missing the game against Morocco.
The Ivorian also paraded a star-studded side with the likes of Manchester United’s Eric Bailey and Amad Diallo, Serge Aurier, Sebastien Haller, Franck Kessie in their starting line up.
It was a good display from the two African powerhouse in this friendly.
