Akuapem Poloo’s 90-day jail term begins on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Ankaful Prisons in Cape Coast, according to a new report.
Furthermore, the Instagram celebrity and actress was mandated to undergo a Covid-19 test, pending a result which will be released on Monday. Speaking to Lantam Papanko on Starr Today, on Starr FM on Friday, her lawyer Andrews Kudzo Vortia said his client would be taken to the Ankaful Prisons if the test is negative.
Recall that an Accra Circuit Court on Friday, April 16, 2021, sentenced Akuapem Poloo, real name Rosemond Alade Brown to 90 days in prison over a birthday shoot photo shared on social media last year. The actress was convicted on her own plea last Wednesday and remanded in police custody for her hearing which happened this morning.
She was charged with the publication of nude pictures with her seven-year-old son. She changed her not guilty plea to guilty before being convicted. The judge who hurled Poloo behind bars opined that her judgment is premised on the high spate of nudity and insanity on the Ghanaian social media space.
Meanwhile, Afia Schwarzenegger is still running her mouth and taking delight in Poloo’s misfortune. Whilst social media and celebs have united in solidarity with the beleaguered video vixen, Afia has found the perfect time to reinforce her beef with Poloo.
According to Afia, Ghanaians will continue to suffer and be at the mercy of politicians because of our hypocrisy and the fact that we are diplomatic with the truth. Afia wondered Ghanaians unanimously called for Poloo’s blood when the issue first cropped up but are singing a different tune when the judge handed her a 3-month jail term.
