Proposal To Extend GFA Presidency To Three Terms Is Greediness – Abbey Pobi

Jonathan Abbey Pobi, a veteran football administrator has rejected moves to extend the term of presidency for the Ghana Football Association from two to three.

He is firm in his conviction that the current term of two should remain as it is now.

Abbey Pobi told Peace FM that it smacks of a lack of integrity to set up a committee to extend the current tenure to three terms. He went on to say that it is clear that no Ghanaian coach can handle the Black Stars again because they have come out to say that they are not allowed by people at the FA to do their jobs.

He quizzed how can a Ghanaian coach manage the Black Stars when people lack integrity when coaches and administrators do not have integrity.

Abbey Pobi says it is greed that will push anyone to set up a committee to allow for a three-term tenure to be put in place at his whim.

He added that Ghana should learn from a country like America from which it borrows money.
