Stonebwoy has hailed R2bees (Mugeez and Omar Sterling) for being our legend and keeping the fire burning before the advent of Afrobeat as they were there before it.
According to the reggae and dancehall artist, the Tema-based music duo were there before Afrobeat, and no one can dispute that as they have been serving us some great music before most of our favourites emerged, making them our legend.
Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy, said this while performing with them at their event, took the opportunity to honor them on stage.
He also used the opportunity to express his profound gratitude to R2Bees who have mentored a lot of musicians in the scene at the moment, especially those who emerge from Tema, for keeping the fire burning for so many years even before most of them emerged into the scene with the Afrobeat genre which has changed the scene.
