Rachel Anne Maddow was born on 1 April 1973 in Castro Valley, California. She works as a television news host and a liberal political commentator.
She hosts a weekly television show on MSNBC called The Rachel Maddow Show.
Maddow also hosted a syndicated talk radio show from 2005 to 2015; it was also called The Rachel Maddow Show.
She attended Standford University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in public policy; she also obtained a doctorate in political science from Oxford University.
In 2021 she received a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for the book she authored, Blowout. She is also a multiple Emmy Awards winner for her contributions to broadcasting.
Rachel is the first openly lesbian woman to host a major prime-time news program in the United States.
