Randal Howard Paul is a physician and politician from the United States. He was born on January 7, 1963. Since 2011, he has represented Kentucky in the Senate as a junior senator.
He is the son of Ron Paul, a former U.S. congressman for Texas who ran for president three times and served 12 terms. Paul identifies as both a constitutional conservative and a member of the Tea Party.
Paul studied at Baylor University and received his medical degree at Duke University. From 1993 until his election to the US Senate in 2010, Paul worked as an ophthalmologist in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was re-elected in 2016 and said in January 2022 that he will run for a third term.

Paul is married to freelance writer Kelley Paul. They tied the knot on October 20, 1990, and they have since raised three kids together. William who was born in 1992, Duncan, and Robert Paul are their three sons.
Robert attended a private school in Washington, D.C., while William, Duncan, and Robert attended the University of Kentucky. They live in Bowling Green, Kentucky. They are active members of the Presbyterian church.
