Randal Howard Paul is a physician and politician from the United States. He was born on January 7, 1963. Since 2011, he has represented Kentucky in the Senate as a junior senator.
He is the son of Ron Paul, a former U.S. congressman for Texas who ran for president three times and served 12 terms. Paul identifies as both a constitutional conservative and a member of the Tea Party.
Paul studied at Baylor University and received his medical degree at Duke University. From 1993 until his election to the US Senate in 2010, Paul worked as an ophthalmologist in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was re-elected in 2016 and said in January 2022 that he will run for a third term.
Paul ran for the Republican presidential nomination in the 2016 U.S. election.

Rand Paul grew up with Joy Paul, Lori Paul, Ronnie Paul, and Robert Paul. Ronnie, who worked as an engineer for a while joined the campaign team for his father on a couple of occasions. Lori sadly passed away in 2021.
