Born on 3 January 1948, Randall Claude Weaver (Randy Weaver) was a separatist and white supremacist known for his role in the Ruby Ridge standoff in Idaho in 1992.
Weaver and family together with his friend Kevin Harris engaged in a shootout with FBI agents and U.S Marshals.
Randy himself was shot in the back during the standoff. His wife Vicki was killed by the same bullet that wounded Kevin Harris. She died with the couple’s baby daughter in her arms.
The family was paid a $3.1m compensation for the killing of his wife and son.
Randy Weaver joined the United States Army in October 1968 when the Vietnam War was at its peak.
