Born in 1951, Ray Coyle was the founder of Tayto Park, an amusement park in Ireland, originally themed based on the Irish potato crisp brand Tayto. It is located in the townland of Kilbrew, in County Meath.

He began working as a potato farmer and is famous for his creation of Largo Foods in 1982.

The company expanded to include a variety of top crisp brands, including Tayto, Hunky Dory, Perri and King.

Coyle later inaugurated the Tayto Park themed park as well as the Zoo within Ashbourne, Co Meath.

It was opened in 2010, and has seen more than five million visitors since its establishment.

Ray passed away peacefully on June 8, 2022, at the age of 70.

Ray is survived by his wife Rosamond, son Charles, and daughter Natalya, who represented Ireland at the Olympic Games.

His funeral will be held very soon; date, time, and venue are not yet out.

Funeral pictures will be ready whiles the funeral is undergoing or afterwards, and a memorial service will be held as well.
