Rich Pahls was an American politician and educator from the state of Nebraska.
He served to terms in the Nebraska Legislature from 2005 until 2013, in the Omaha district. He was re-elected to the Nebraska Legislature in 2020.
Pahls earned his degree from Fort Hays State University in 1966 with an B.A., and in 1967, with an M.A. and graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1979 with an Ed. D.
Pahls became a member of the Legislature in 2004 and was elected to represent the 31st Nebraska legislative district.
He was chairman of the Banking, Commerce and Insurance Committee, and was an official of the Government Committee, Veterans’ and Military Affairs Committee, The Executive Board of the Legislative Council, and the Education Commission of the States.
Pahls was re-elected in 2020. In May 2013, he was elected to the Omaha City Council. Then, in May 2017, he was re-election for a second four-year term.
Pahls resigned the council on the 5th of January 2021 so that he could serve on his position in the Nebraska Legislature.
