Richard Gasquet Parents: Francis Gasquet, Maryse Gasquet

Richard Gabriel Cyr Gasquet was born on 18 June 1986 in Béziers, France.

He is a French professional tennis player who on 9 July 2007 attained his career-high Association of Tennis Professionals ranking of world number 7.

Gasquet has 15 singles titles on the ATP Tour under his belt. At the 2004 French Open partnering with Tatiana Golovin, he won the mixed doubles title.

Richard is an Olympic bronze medalist from the 2012 Olympic Games with his doubles partner Julien Benneteau. Gasquet’s parents worked in tennis which made his choice of a career in tennis rather easy.

He turned professional in 2002 and is currently being coached by Julien Cassaigne. His game is built around a great one-handed backhand.
