Richmond Boakye Yiadom Scores Brace As Black Stars Thump Lower-Tier Side Golden Kicks 5-1 In Friendly

Beitar Jerusalem forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom scored two goals for the Black Stars against newly promoted Division One team Golden Kicks in a friendly on Monday.

The Black Stars came from behind to defeat Golden Kicks 5-1 as part of their preparations for the doubleheader in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Golden Kicks took the lead prior to the time that their former Red Star Belgrade striker got the equalizer, and then he boosted the lead for the senior national team.

The team scored three additional goals in the 2nd half, as Jordan Ayew found the back of the net, while Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Caleb Ekuban added to the goalscorers’ chat during the game.

The Black Stars will depart from Ghana to South Africa on Tuesday to begin preparations for the match against Ethiopia.

15 players took part in training today at the Accra Sports Stadium. The others are expected to arrive at the camp by the end of the day.
