Rita Sahatçiu Ora was born on 26 November 1990 in Pristina, modern-day Kosovo. She is a British singer, songwriter, and actress.
In February 2012, she became famous after featuring on DJ Fresh’s single, “Hot Right Now”.
Ora’s debut studio album debuted at number one in the United Kingdom when it was released in August 2012.
She was named an Honorary Ambassador of Kosovo. Her second studio album titled Phoenix was released in November 2018.
She grew up in Notting Hill, in West London, and attended a performing arts school, Sylvia Young Theatre School. Her family relocated to London in 1991 after fleeing political persecution in their native country.
Rita honed her musical skills by performing at open mic sessions in London. She signed onto superstar rapper Jay Z’s Roc Nation label.

Besnik’s surname Sahatçiu means “watchmaker” in Turkish.
