Comedian Rove McManus grew up in Perth, Australia, and as a little boy dreamt of becoming like his idols, American talk show hosts, Dave Letterman and Jay Leno.
He became involved in drama and musical theater productions at Orana Catholic Primary School and Corpus Christi College where he was schooled.
McManus was taken to acting lessons as a child and would only leave acting school when he decided to chase his dream of becoming a television personality.
He relocated to Melbourne and soon after got his first job hosting The Loft Live and has never looked back.

Coralie McManus and John McManus are the parents of Rove McManus while Catherine McManus is his only sibling and sister.
Coralie was a homemaker while John worked as a real estate agent and later a hotel broker.
Aside from Rove, they have an older daughter called Catherine, it was Catherine who gave him the nickname Rove.
