Russell Henley was born on 12 April 1989 in Macon, Georgia.
He is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour.
Henley attended Stratford Academy in Macon and went on to study at the University of Georgia in Athens. He played collegiate golf for four years whiles at the University of Georgia.
He won the Haskins Award as the most outstanding collegiate golfer and played in the U.S. Open in 2010. Russell also played in two Nationwide Tour events in 2010: the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational and the Stadion Athens Classic at UGA.
Henley turned professional in 2011 and competed in his first professional tournament at the Nationwide Tour’s Soboba Golf Classic in September 2011. A year after he turned professional he won the Chiquita Classic.
Henley has six professional victory trophies in his trophy cabinet.
He lives in Columbus, Georgia with his family.
