Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie has paid a courtesy call to His Royal Majesty, Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace today.
Sarkodie is in the Asante Kingdom’s capital to hang out with his SarkNation fans in the city after he postponed the release date of his highly anticipated album titled ‘No Pressure’ which was supposed to have hit the digital market by Saturday.
Recall the leader of SarkCess Music record label revealed a couple of weeks ago that he will be hosting the release party of the ‘No Pressure’ album in the ‘Garden City’ but after a careful review, had to postpone the release date because of some circumstances “beyond our control” according to the rapper.
During the announcement, Sarkodie made it clear that although the album release party which was supposed to be held at the Basement Nite Club inside the Kumasi City Mall has been canceled, he will still turn up to party with his fans in the city since most of the fans had already booked their tickets for the event.
As the program is slated for tomorrow, Sarkodie thought it’s wise to pay a courtesy call to the ruler of the Asante Kingdom and seek his permission and blessings for the event tomorrow.
Sarkodie was spotted in accompany with some senior members of his entourage like his manager Angel. This visit was made known via a tweet from the official Twitter page of the Manhyia Palace.
