Former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has called on the government and the Ghana Football Association to give coach Sellas Tetteh his package to enable him to foot his medical bills.
Sellas Tetteh has not been in good health lately and told Sports Obama TV in an interview that he has been running up and down the corridors of the GFA and Ministry of Sports for bonuses owed him since 2009.
He was the head coach of the Ghana U20 team that won the 2009 African Youth Championship and went on to also win the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup, making Ghana the first African nation to win the tournament.
Emmanuel Agyemang said in an interview on Peace FM, said that the playing body did not have a contract with the Football Association but rather the technical team which he is not privy to, but hopes that it has an insurance component in it.
He stated, however, that the monetary component was said to be for 15 years, and if the 15 years are not up, the FA and government should pay up the money to coach Sellas Tetteh so that he can take care of himself.
