Argentina and Manchester City’s top striker, Sergio Kun Aguero has apologized to his team mates and the club’s fans for missing the penalty kick.
Aguero missed the penalty which cost his team to suffer a 2-1 defeat to London based football club Chelsea after the two teams clashed at the 35th week of the famous Barclays Premier League this afternoon at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
The Pep Guardiola side had first taken the leading in the 44th minute before the break with a goal from English winger Raheem Sterling with an assist from Sergio Aguero but failed to double their lead with a penalty kick from the striker just after 4 minutes from the first goal.
Chelsea bounced back in the second half with an equalizer from Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech in the 63rd minute and steal a win on the road with a last minute goal from Spanish defender Marcos Alonso.
Sergio Aguero after the game received a lot of backlash from some supporters of the club who criticized the technique he used in executing the penalty kick.
This has prompted the all time top scorer of the club to come out and apologized to his fellow team mates and to the supporters of the club.
I would like to apologise to my teammates, staff and supporters for missing the penalty. It was a bad decision and I take full responsibility.

If Mendy had launched himself left or right as might be expected of a keeper against you, and that had gone in, we'd all be losing our minds over how awesome that PK would have been. You ust got unlucky that Mendy didn't dive towards either corner. 💙
