Shaunae Miller-Uibo Siblings: Meet Sister Shauntae-Ashleigh Miller

Born on April 15, 1994, in Nassau, The Bahamas, Shaunae Miller-Uibo is a Bahamian track and field sprinter who competes in the 200 and 400 metres.

She is a two-time Olympic champion after winning the women’s 400 metres at the 2016 Rio Olympics and again at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The 28-year-old Bahamian track and field sprinter is the reigning World Champion over 400m having won gold in Eugene.

At the World Athletics Championships Miller-Uibo won a silver medal in the 400 metres in 2015 and 2019, and a bronze at the 200 metres in 2017 when she also placed fourth at her longer distance.

She won her first world outdoor and indoor 400m titles in 2022. She holds North American records in the 400m both outdoors and indoors, set in October 2019 and February 2021 respectively.

Shaunae holds the world’s fastest women’s marks in straight races of 150m, and 200m. Her personal best of 21.74 s for the 200 m is a Bahamian national record.

She won several national titles in both her disciplines and also won the NCAA Division I indoor title for the Georgia Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs. She is also the only track athlete to win ALL global event goal in the 400m.

Shaunae also won gold in the women’s 400 meters at the 2022 World Athletics Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene on Friday night, July 22.

Winner of Miss Universe Bahamas 2020, Shauntae-Ashleigh Miller is the sister of Shaunae Miller-Uibo. Of Afro-Bahamian heritage, they were born in a Christian home to Mabelene and Shaun Miller in Nassau, Bahamas, the granddaughter and niece of pastors.

They have personal faith and trust in God.
