Simona Halep Parents: Tania Halep, Stere Halep

Simona Halep’s mother and father Stere Halep and Tania Halep lived in  Constanța in Romania. They are both of Aromanian descent. The couple shares two children including Simona and her brother Nicolae who was born five and a half years earlier.

Stere Halep played football for AS Săgeata Stejaru in the Romanian lower divisions. After his career in football, he worked as a zootechnics technician before establishing and operating his own dairy products factory.

He became interested in helping his kids participate in sporting endeavors after reflecting on how far his football career would have advanced if his parents had given him more financial assistance as a youth.
