The American professional tennis player, Sloane Stephens, was born on 20 March 1993. Her parents have experience in collegiate swimming and professional American football.
Her introduction to tennis was at a club across the street from her house. She got inspiration from her stepfather, who played tennis as a hobby.
In pursuit of a career in tennis, Sloane moved to Florida to attend a tennis academy. She got to train with Nick Saviano.
Sloane showed a lot of promise as a junior player, attaining an ITF junior ranking of world number No. 5. She and her doubles part Timea Babos won three of four girls’ doubles Grand Slam titles in 2010.
Stephen’s highest career ranking as a professional was No.3 in July 2018 after Wimbledon. She was the US Open 2017 champion.
