Ghana’s Ministry of Youth and Sports has reacted to the devastating earthquake that has hit parts of Turkey and Syria.
The unfortunate news for Ghana is that Black Stars winger Christian Atsu is among many trapped in rubble after the deadly quake.
In its reaction to the tragic news and concerns for Ghana forward, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has called on Ghanaians and the player’s family to remain calm.
The Ministry says it remains confident that Christian Atsu will be found alive and rescued safely.
The statement said the Ministry’s thoughts and prayers are with Christian Atsu and other victims in the nerve-wracking moment of their search after the devastating earthquake struck on Monday morning in Turkey.
It went on to call on his family and the rest of the Ghanaian populace to remain calm and that they expect to hear the good news of his rescue soon.
