Asunción Cummings “Sunny” Hostin was born on 20 October 1968 in New York City. She is a lawyer, journalist, and television host.
She is the Senior Legal Correspondent and Analyst at ABC News and is a co-host of the morning talk show called The View on ABC.
Hostin is the executive producer and host of Truth About Murder with Sunny Hostin, a true crime series on Investigation Discovery.
Asunción who is bilingual; speaks both English and Spanish fluently, obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Rhetoric from Binghamton University and then went to Notre Dame Law School to study for her Juris Doctor.
She served in the U.S Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division as a trial attorney after earlier serving as a law clerk to retired Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals Robert M. Bell at the beginning of her legal career.
Hostin’s journalism career began as a reporter for Court TV before she went to work with Fox News program The O’Reilly Factor.
