Swansea City forward Andre Ayew has expressed delight in sealing play-offs spot with two games left in the regular season and admits it’s an advantage to the Welsh club.
According to Ayew, whose goal against Reading ultimately booked their place in the semifinals, they can prepare and build momentum ahead of the play-offs.
“I am very happy we are in the play-offs,” said Ayew. “That was the objective at the start of the season, and we need to keep going and get ready for the play-offs,” he added.
Swansea will face Derby County and already promoted Watford as they wait for their opponents in the promotion play-offs.
“There is a chance to build momentum and finish higher in the table. We will keep going,” said Swansea’s leading scorer this season, with 16 goals.
“It’s great to be in the play-offs a few weeks before because we can really get ready for what’s coming. We need to use that to our advantage.”
