Trent Jordan Watt is an American football outside linebacker with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He was born on October 11, 1994.
He attended the University of Wisconsin and played collegiate football there before being selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. J. J. Watt of the Arizona Cardinals and Derek Watt, a colleague of his on the Steelers, are his elder brothers.
Before ultimately winning the honor in 2021, he advanced to the NFL Defensive Player of the Year finals in 2019 and 2020. Watt became the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL in 2021 after agreeing to a four-year agreement for over $112 million, including $80 million in guaranteed payments.
