Lachie Gill, who was crowned winner of the 2022 Voice Australia, has reveals how he is planing to spend his $100K prize money.
Gill is planning to use the $100,000 cash prize to purchase a home or invest into his music career, according to a post sighted on Daily Mail Australia.
‘I’ll never be the person to buy jewellery or a car. I’ll make sure it goes somewhere where it will benefit me for my future,’ Lachie told Daily Mail Australia.
‘[I’ll either] invest it into the music stuff or start looking at a house,’ he explained.
The 24-year-old EX-football player won the $100,000 prize money and a recording contract with Universal Music Australia.
The final four, Team Rita’s Lachie Gill, Team Guy’s Jordan Tavita, Team Jess’ Faith Sosene, and Team Keith’s Thando Sikwila sang their hearts out last night in their final attempt to win the audience’s favour.
“Oh my God, I just… from the start I never would have expected this and I’m just blown away. Thank you.” Lachie, who was overcome with emotion said when hearing the verdict.
“First of all, it’s you, you won… Australia, thank you, this is amazing… I’m so happy for you. I can’t breathe.” His coach Rita Ora also said.
‘You’ve given me challenging songs, but you’ve always said, “Don’t try and be someone else, just do it Lachie’s way”,’ Lachie thanked Rita Ora for reminding him to stay authentic.
Gill has also released his new single Wasted Time, which has over 100,000 views on YouTube.
His Complete Collection album has debuted at #3 on iTunes and the show was the top rating program last night with over 779k metro viewers.
