The Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum has hinted at possible changes in the technical set-up of the Black Stars.
Reports have been rife in the media that goalkeeper trainer, Richard Kingson is set to lose his position with the team. It is believed he will be replaced by a foreigner.
Also the team’s video analyst, Awal Kamin is also set to be sacked.
In an interview with Graphic Sports, Asante Twum disclosed that the new Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton has made some recommendations but did not make any further disclosures on the changes the new coach will ring.
He said that during the unveiling of Chris Hughton as the new head coach of Ghana, the changes that have been made in the technical team would be announced, Monday in Kumasi.
Asante Twum said he is aware he (Hughton) has made some recommendations in his technical department but he can’t say anything until he is unveiled.
He went on to state that he believes every concern would be addressed at his unveiling so he thinks we must wait for that day to know everything about the team.
The former Tottenham Hotspurs boss will take charge of the Black Stars for the first time when his side takes on Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers later this month.
Ghana will play Angola on 23 March in Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
