Thomas Wayne Markle is an American retired television lighting director and director of photography.
He was awarded a Chicago/Midwest Emmy Award in 1975 for his work on the Made in Chicago television program. He also received two Daytime Emmy Awards in co-recipient for his work on General Hospital in 1982 and 2011.
In the 1970s, Markle was WTTW-TV Channel 11’s lighting director. He was awarded the Chicago / Midwest Emmy Award in 1975 for Outstanding Achievement in Individual Excellence: Non-Performers for his work in lighting design on the channel’s Made in Chicago show.
He was a television producer for the series Married… with Children and General Hospital. Not only that, but he was also responsible for lighting the 1984 Summer Olympics.
