Former Arsenal player Jack Wilshere has predicted a great season for Thomas Partey this season.
Partey, who joined the Gunners for a Ghanaian record 50 million euros, did not enjoy his first season due to injuries.
The Ghana deputy played 2109 minutes (36 appearances) and did not make the impact that most fans hoped he would.
However, having been handed his favourite shirt number 5, Partey has been backed to excel in the 2021/22 season, expected to start in August.
“I like Partey,” Wilshere told Highbury Squad. “I think there’s more to come from him. He had ups and downs last season.
“But I think he’s going to come good this season. He’s a real good player. I played against him a few times and he’s very good.”
Arsenal signing Albert Sambi Lokonga looks to be a real coup. And Partey may be the player who benefits most from his arrival.
